BIO:
Atlanta rapstress Cover Girl has been entertaining audiences as early as she can remember. At the age of 5, she discovered her power to hold people’s attention when she belted out her first rap song for family and friends. “Concerts” like these were the start of many professional performances to come, and a competitive career in the city known as the southern rap mecca.

Cover Girl became serious about pursuing her talent after recording her first song, which happened accidentally. “I was messing around the in studio and started rapping on a beat that was playing,” she remembers. “I didn’t know how to work the equipment so I had no idea someone was recording it. When they played it back, I loved it.”

She continued writing and soon came up with the concept for “Gucci P*ssy,” a song she took to producer Mike Will (“East Atl 6” Gucci Mane, “Tupac Back” Meek Mill). Once the beat was made, the song became Cover Girl’s first single. She brought her hit to the club and won at several open mic performances. Soon after she was back in the lab with her second hit, and current single, “What’s Up.”

“What’s Up” was a big break for Cover Girl. The attention-grabbing fight anthem caught on fast, and she added Brick Squad’s Slim Dunkin to the song. The video premiered on WorldStarHipHop, gaining worldwide exposure to Cover Girl’s resume. She also recorded another popular song with Slim Dunkin and Da KID called “Ain’t Talm Bout Sh*t”, which also aired on WorldStarHipHop.

The buzz from “What’s Up” has allowed Cover Girl and her all-female crew to open shows for Rocko, Waka Flocka and other Brick Squad artists, Tity Boi, Young Dro, Travis Porter, Shawty Lo, Gorilla Zoe, CTE’s No Line Gang, Treal N Prince, Gangsta Boo, Khia, Mac Bre-Z, Trina, as well as headline her own gigs.

With the song in circulation and her debut project in the works, Cover Girl is focused on fine-tuning her business plans so she can reach the next level. Already graduating magna cum-laude with a degree in criminal justice, she is attending UGA for her 2nd degree. The street-savvy yet sophisticated rapper believes in always setting higher goals. “I’m on my grind to the top,” she says confidently. “There is no other like me.”
